Diabetroduction

Hello ____________ (please insert your name),

Pleased to meet you, and welcome to my Diabetic or T1D Survivor Blog~
Call me Rita, and here is a short introduction to how I began my T1D journey and also the reasonings for this blog:

I was officially diagnosed at the age of 8, although I showed a number of early symptoms before this. It ended up to be what the doctors predicted as “virus mutation”. Hence for practically 19 years by now, I’ve been living with this incurable disease.

I wanted to set up a blog to talk about things that people should and can be more aware of.. especially for parents of a type 1 child, or even for the child, teenager, and adult themselves. There were many things that I got to experience, tried out, or were even tested on to maintain my diabetes.

There is no cure. But there is without a doubt always a way to develop this into a life you deserve. Where diabetes isn’t an obstacle to the life you want, but in fact become a part of what makes you stand out compared to other people 🙂
