iWatch - Possibilities for Diabetics
So I was excitedly watching the Apple WWDC, hoping again that the non-invasive blood glucose monitoring may finally be available.
Allow me to explain what this is about. As you can see by the name of "non-invasive", it has been spread for years now that Apple has been working on this feature that would soon be available on the iWatch. A blood glucose monitor that does not require sticking any needles under your skin for glucose readings. A similar aspect to CGMs now, is that it will be able to continuously monitor your glucose, give warnings for any hypos and hypers, but without the need to shoot a needle into you.
This rumor has been going on for years, and each year I've been patiently waiting for the possibility to happen. But so far? No luck. And with the current updates, it seems to still be something that will require quite a few years of work.

In conclusion: Probably best to not keep up any high hopes. Generally I feel, that although Diabetes is a 21st century sickness, its never really going to be taken seriously till it affects a bigger amount of people near you.
