Switzerland, on the other hand. Has been quite great so far for my Diabetes and supplies.

First of all, please be aware that health insurance IS REQUIRED, however it is all based on companies instead of national insurance. So the price of which you pay differs by company. Sadly, as a Type 1 I am required or .. suggested to pay for the most expensive plan. As this will cover over everything that I may require. Pump supplies, general supplies, so on so forth.

The initial process may take a bit of time as they require a confirmation from your diabetic doctor to confirm that you are, in fact, a type one diabetic. After it is all processed, the reimbursements should come with no problem what so ever. The initial step took me sbout 3 months paying out of my own pocket before I was assisted into anything else.

Overall though,my process here has been splendid. Perhaps due to the factor of a lot more diabetic acknowledgement here in comparison to Asia. The level of care and understanding was alot more helpful in every way. Even medtronic here has been beyond splendid. I've had the experience where I was running out of sensors as I had accidentally hit a blood vein twice and wasted two sensors. After a quick call, they taxied the supplies to me so it would arrive the next day. The support staff also asked if they could add me on Whatsapp to ensure everything was working with no problem.

In regards to the doctors and hospital staff that helped me out in Switzerland. I've been very lucky to always encounter those who are passionate about what they do. Therefore allowing me to be able to learn, question, and work on better methods in controlling my blood sugar.
